Peak District: If you love walking then you are in luck, as the Peak District is only 8 miles from us! The popular towns of Buxton and Bakewell are brilliant destinations for day trips- why not even try an infamous Bakewell Tart! The Peak District is not all about walking; you can also partake in cycling, horse riding, water sports and climbing! Astbury Mere: A short walk from the hotel, Astbury Mere is the perfect location to go for a local walk. With stunning lakeside views and a water sports centre, it is a lovely setting to spend the afternoon at. A walk around the Mere usually takes 40 minutes or so. There is also an information centre, coffee and icecream van as well as an Indian restaurant located at Astbury Mere. If you really enjoy water sports or want to have a go, check out 

Macclesfield Treacle Market: The Macclesfield Treacle Market takes place on the last Sunday of every month, offering unique local produce. Expect artworks, antiques, books, vintage home wears, crafts and locally produced beers, juices and other culinary delights. Located only 15 minutes away from the hotel, the market shows off Cheshire life at its finest.

Jodrell Bank: We are lucky enough to be located very close to Jodrell Bank, home to the famous Lovell Telescope.
