In preparation for welcoming our guests, we have had to step up precautionary measures at the hotel as safety of our guests and employees is paramount.

 

Health & Safety Measures in Place

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have reviewed our existing health & safety processes and developed The Alexandra Court Hotel Safety ProtocolThis is an in-depth cleanliness & disinfection protocol, designed to ensure staff and guest safety, and peace of mind from check-in to check-out.

We have made various but sympathetic changes in the way the hotel looks. As a business we are continuously monitoring and following the changes in recommendations and guidelines of the local governments and health authorities. This will allow us to continue working towards providing the best service possible, whilst safeguarding the safety of staff and guests.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to The Alexandra Court Hotel and we have been working hard to ensure you can enjoy your experience comfortably, and safely. The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members is paramount, and we can assure you that your priorities regarding social space, cleanliness, care and enjoyment are ours too.

We clean as we continue to take the upmost care to ensure every stay with us is safe, clean and comfortable.

We care for our guests and employees and as such, we have developed a set of measures designed to safeguard your wellbeing. Though some facilities and elements of our service will be different, our teams are well-equipped, well-trained and ready to extend a very warm welcome to you.

We will continue to welcome our guests with the same warmth and hospitality we have always done. While the COVID-19 outbreak is a precipitously changing and fluid situation, we must be committed and care for our valued guest.

 

Enhanced cleaning and sanitising

Our cleaning processes have been upgraded and rigorous sanitisation procedures continue to be carried out by our teams throughout the hotel, including public areas, bedrooms and our space behind the scenes. You will find hand sanitisers for use on arrival and at various locations throughout the hotel. In addition to our already thorough cleaning protocol we've added extra cleaning measures throughout the day to ensure all surfaces and touch points are regularly sanitised.

 

Reservations

Bedroom reservations must be pre-paid to allow for contactless check-in. You will be asked to pay for your booking in advance to allow for a more seamless and contactless check-in experience and we will operate a cashless payment system for any additional spend, in order to minimise contact. Reservations are fully-flexible up until 2.00pm on day before arrival should your plans unexpectedly change due to Covid-19 issues or concerns

 

Registration & Check in

We encourage mandatory hand sanitation on arrival and will provide hand sanitiser stations throughout the hotel & public areas. Reception will be fitted with a safety screen minimising contact and keeping social distance measures in place. We will now require each guest to read our terms and conditions on arrival, including details of their stay. Reception will sign on behalf of the guest, by doing so the guest agrees to all terms stated in their booking. Car registration details will be inputted into the hotel database to minimise guest contact.

 

Communication

Communications have also been enhanced with pre-arrival calls & emails so you know exactly what to expect from your stay, and can better plan ahead to make the most of your time with us.

Hotel Map/Fire Plan

We will display the hotels floor plan so that each guest can view the location of their room and also location of public areas & fire exits. Front of house staff will still verbally communicate (in detail) the check in process.

 

One way system: Guests will use the main staircase to go up to the rooms and use the back staircase to go down. We will encourage the use of this system throughout the guests stay, minimising interaction.

 

Safe spaces and social distancing

We have established safe social distancing practices using the appropriate markers and signage to help guide our guests and our team to move safely around the hotel.  We have made the best use of our lounge areas and outdoor terrace, summer house and garden, so that you will feel comfortably distanced from other guests whilst relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.

 

Dining options

You will be allocated a socially distanced table, to enjoy breakfast and we will offer table service only. To avoid guest contact at the bar we have removed all bar stools and will be implementing an order and collect policy for drinks.

 

Personal health and safety

Our team members, guests and visitors each have a vital role to play in keeping themselves and those around them healthy. Our teams are receiving ongoing training regarding standards of cleanliness, health and hygiene and are complying with strict protocols including frequent hand washing and the use of appropriate protective equipment. We will check the temperatures of all guests on arrival and team members before every shift. We ask you to be responsible and not to come to the hotel if you feel unwell. If you are running a high temperature/high fever of 37.8C or greater we will refuse you entrance to the hotel.

 

Housekeeping Service

Our housekeeping service will continue daily and will minimise person-to-person exposure. For this reason we will not be providing late check out or early check in for guests. Our housekeeping team will be working to a very comprehensive and rigorous cleaning schedule and we will require full access to all rooms from 11.00am.

 

Bathroom

We are sorry to mention it but the provision of public toilets presents a particular bottle neck problem. We ask that guests use their own bathroom in their rooms for the duration of your stay. Guests visiting the hotel for other purposes will be asked to use the disabled toilet as this room provides hand washing facilities.
