Just a quick update from the Hotel...

The Alexandra Court Hotel is still temporarily closed, but all current, future bookings and enquiries are being attended to on a daily basis to ensure that any uncertainty is kept to a minimum. We have had such a positive response from our guests and corporate partners, and we thank you for your custom and flexibility at this time.

In addition, Andrew the Hotel Director is looking after the property to ensure that it remains safe, secure and looking wonderful for when we re-open.

We are not  yet in a position to state when we will be re-opening, but if you have a question about a future visit or current event booked, then please get in touch by emailing our Reception & Events Manager LisaSmith@thealexandracourthotel.com

Our commitment and passion for customer service and delivery remains as strong as ever. We know that the criteria for your next visit will have changed, and we can assure you that your priorities regarding space, cleanliness and safety, are our priorities, too.

Though elements of our service will be different, we are committed to making sure that our team are well-equipped, well-trained, and, as ever, ready to extend a very warm welcome to you as soon as we are able too. 

Please remember that Afternoon Tea gift vouchers will now be extended for up to 12 months and we are continuing to work with all brides & grooms to re-schedule block accommodation. 

Time has certainly not stood still these last few weeks, the garden is looking beautiful and the flowers are in full bloom – a lovely reminder of what we will hopefully be returning to in the not too distant future.

Message from our Director - Andrew Bourne 

Following the latest announcements from the UK Government, and the recommendations for everyone to maintain safe distances to keep well, we have taken the decision to temporarily close The Alexandra Court Hotel. I write this in sadness's, however it is absolutely the right step to take as we all play our part in trying to overcome this.

We will continue to respond to all email enquiries, online bookings or amendments.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information for Guests:

In light of the recent pandemic, we would like to assure you that The Alexandra Court Hotel’s highest priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, guests and staff and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare.

As with many businesses, we are actively monitoring the situation with regards the outbreak of Covid-19 coronavirus and are reviewing and following the guidelines of Public Health England.  The advice from the health authorities has not changed, so our business is operating as normal and standard terms and conditions on bookings continue do apply.

If you are planning on visiting The Alexandra Court Hotel from an area that has been directly affected by the coronavirus or have recently been in contact to anyone showing signs of these symptoms AND if you are showing symptoms similar to those associated with the virus (for example:  fever, persistent cough, cold/flu like symptoms), we urge our customers to not attend the hotel and instead call NHS 111 for further advice and instruction. We may also refuse entry to anyone showing signs of these symptoms.

In line with the government guidelines, any staff members who may show symptoms or have returned from travel will not be permitted to work in the hotel.

During your visit, we wish to reassure you that The Alexandra Court Hotel is taking all possible steps to minimise the risk of contagion, including the implementation of enhanced cleaning regimes throughout the Hotel. Rest assured, we will continue to act quickly should we be required to do so and will take all necessary precautions to protect the welfare of our guests and staff.

We ask all our guests to observe high standards of personal hygiene whilst visiting The Alexandra Court Hotel. There are simple things you can do to help prevent the spread of the virus, including:

Practising good hand hygiene and sneeze/cough hygiene is the best defence against most viruses.

  • Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Putting used tissues in the bin immediately
  • Washing your hands with soap and hot water regularly, and using hand sanitiser gel
  • Avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
  • wash your hands frequently with soap and water and dry them well, before and after eating and after going to the toilet
  • avoid contact with others (touching, kissing, hugging and other intimate contact)

If you do feel unwell during your visit, please contact a member of staff immediately – maintaining a safe distance of two meters where possible.
